We hope everyone is keeping safe and well over the last couple of days and weeks. We must remember to keep our social distance and keep washing our hands. These are difficult times but if we listen to the experts and do what they tell us to do it will help in the long run.
Before our school closed we were very busy in 5th class A. Here is a quick look at how busy we were.

Firstly we participated in the schools St. Patrick's Day concert. 5th class was well represented in the band and throughout all the performances, well done everyone, ye were FANTASTIC!
We are a very talented class and we are very proud of this, we took a break from our class work and we had a concert of our own.  We really enjoyed our class concert.

We also celebrated 'World Book Day' in our class. We had many famous authors and characters from world famous books in our classroom that day, it was such great fun meeting all these wonderful characters.

We started a very exciting novel called 'Holes' by Louis Sachar with Múinteoir Ann and Múinteoir Denise. We love reading  this novel, we are getting to meet some very interesting characters, understanding the plot, predicting what may happen, comparing our predictions to what exactly happened. We cannot wait to read to the end of this novel!

We were also set a very important and top secret task. Our task is to create a project on ........ we are not going to tell you just yet, you will have to stay tuned to our blog to find out.
What we can tell you is we are loving researching this project so far as it is something we are really interesting in and it's very close to all of us.

We would like to wish everyone good health at this time and hope you are all keeping safe and well. We need to remember to keep our social distance, keep washing our hands and to limit our social interactions. What we are doing so far is working, so keep it up and WELL DONE! We are doing great!
